Dr. Wood is a Dentist and is Chair of the Assembly Health Committee. He influences many areas relevant to the practice of Physical Therapy and we need to have a great presence at tomorrow’s event!
As Northeast District Chair Ruth LeBlanc mentioned in her recent post, 2019 is slated to be the busiest and most productive year on record for our little slice of the Physical Therapy world. In fact we have so many events coming up for prospective and current members that it’s tricky for us to highlight all of the great opportunities at once.
For our orthopedic practitioners and those who aspire to expand their clinical expertise in that domain, we have another installment in the ongoing collaboration between NED and Results Physical Therapy: Treating the Athletic Shoulder. Registration is live. Please sign up ahead of the course date of Saturday March 9th.
Just a little further down the road in April, NED is bringing three expert clinicians and graduates of Kaiser Orthopedic Manual Therapy Fellowships in for a course titled Orthopedic Manual Therapy and Exercise Management of the Upper Cervical Spine. Registration is live.
Please register early and post fliers in your clinic or via social media so our district can maximize the benefit of hosting so much great Orthopedic content.
For all NED practitioners and for students in particular, there are two great advocacy opportunities on the horizon as well.
A unique advocacy, networking, and education event is happening on Monday March 25th just across the river from East Sac in Arden-Arcade. NED is hosting this social event, one hour CE session, and a legislative speaker prior to CPTA Legislative Day at the Capitol on Tuesday. Please join us for this special CPTA Pre-Legislative Day and Northeast District Event.
And last but not least, March 22nd will be a student specific event hosted at University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Stockton. If you are a student and you’ve never participated in National Advocacy Dinner, please register in advance and make it to this stimulating and engaging event.
